Pancake supper

All Saints Episcopal Church will have a free pancake supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. March 5 at the church to celebrate the beginning of Lent.

Canyon dinner

The free Canyon Community dinner is at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 27 at the Canyon Elementary School. Menu is spaghetti with rustico pomodoro sauce with fresh grated parmesan, salad, Italian bread, topped with our delicious dessert of chocolate cake with raspberry sauce.

Bunco party

Columbia Falls Women’s Connection will host a Bunco fundraising party on Saturday, March 30 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the North Valley Hospital Community Room in Columbia Falls. Reservations are required. Call Janet at 892-3621 or email Diana at wconnectionbunco@gmail.com. All proceeds donated to Stonecroft Ministries.

Chamber lunch

The monthly Columbia Falls Chamber luncheon is at 11:45 a.m. at the North Valley Community Room on Nucleus Avenue March 12. Guest speaker is Columbia Falls city manager Susan Nicosia. Lunch is $12, but you do not have to eat to attend.

Gateway show

Glacier Gateway Elementary School will have a fifth grade jazz musical at 1:45 p.m. March 1 in the high school little theater. The concert is free and open to the public.

Ruder music

Ruder Elementary fifth-graders will have a “Rock ‘n Roll Forever” concert at 2 p.m. Feb. 28 at the school gymnasium. The concert is free and open to the public.

Film tour

In March, the Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation will be hosting Mountainfilm on Tour. The films will be shown in Whitefish March 13 and 14 at the O’Shaughnessy Center. Tickets are $15 and are available online at www.bmwf.org/events or the Sportsman and Ski Haus in Whitefish or Rocky Mountain Outfitter in Kalispell.

Robbins talk

The Flathead Audubon Society will present Helena author Jim Robbins at 7 p.m. March 11. His book, “The Wonder of Birds,” was the Montana Book Award winner for 2018 at the Gateway West Community Room in Kalispell. It is free and open to the public.

Wolf talk

The Flathead Audubon Society will present wolf expert Diane Boyd who will talk about wolf recovery at 7 p.m. March 7 at the Gateway West Community Room in Kalispell. It is free and open to the public. This is a reschedule of a meeting that was canceled due to the weather.

Toastmasters

The Columbia Falls Toastmasters meets at 6:45 p.m. at the Pure West Christie’s Realty office 494 St Andrews Drive in Columbia Falls. Toastmasters provides access to a wealth of educational materials and resources on public speaking, listening skills, and effective communication in conferences and meetings. Everyone is welcome. Skiijoring

Rebecca Farm is hosting a skijoring competition on Saturday, March 2 and Sunday, March 3. Opening ceremonies begin at noon both days. The event is open to the public and promises to be fun for all ages. Admission is $5 per person, with children 12 and under admitted free.
