Jack and Roxy (Trodick) Rogers will soon celebrate their 50th anniversary. They were married on Saturday, Aug. 23, 1969 at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Columbia Falls. Maid of honor was Roxy’s cousin, Melanie Wiltzen of Bozeman and best man was one of Jack’s best friends, Max Ogle of Columbia Falls.

Jack Rogers was a high school history teacher and track coach in Washington State for seven years before he and Roxy moved back to Columbia Falls and he began work at the Columbia Falls Aluminum Co. for more than 20 years. Roxy was an elementary teacher for almost 40 years in the Columbia Falls school district. Jack and Roxy retired 12 years ago to Hayesville, North Carolina, but returned to Columbia Falls two years ago — there’s no place like home.
