Community market

This Thursday the Community Market at the Coop features music by Pink Cadillac beer by Great Northern Brewing and the spirits of Spotted Bear Spirits. The market runs from 5 p.m. to dark.

Middle School soccer

Columbia Falls will host middle school soccer teams for youth league play from Sept. 7 through Oct. 6. The league is open to students in grades five through eight and games will be played during the week and on Saturdays. The cost is $100 per player. Nick Faldo golf clinic

Golfing legend Sir Nick Faldo will be coming to Montana later this summer to host a pair of events at the Wilderness Club Resort in Eureka. A three-time Masters Champion and winner of six PGA majors, Faldo designed the course at the Wilderness Club and owns property there. Faldo and the club will host one golf clinic and meet-and-greet barbecue Aug. 31 and again Sept. 7. Both events will start at 5 p.m. The club has two options for the event, for $179, attendees can play a round of golf before the 5 p.m. event or for $60, just the clinic and barbecue. Space will be limited, so attendees are encouraged to contact the Wilderness Club Resort Pro Shop to secure a reservation at 406-889-6501 option 2.

CFHS Fall Coaches/Parents Meeting

The annual fall coaches parent meeting will be at the high school in the little theater on Thursday Aug. 15 at 6 p.m. It will take approximately 20 minutes to welcome parents and student-athletes and then will let them disperse with the coaches. Golf will have already had its first practice on Thursday and this meeting is optional for team members and their parents. All other fall sports begin practice either Friday, Aug. 16 or Monday, Aug. 19.
