Homeless man sleeping in park near Talbott Pines. Drug paraphernalia found in playground. Hit and run on Nucleus — people tried to get woman to stop, but she just kept going. A rock was thrown through a picture window of a house. Remember that vicious dog on Grace Road from last week? Person was complaining about it again. Two bikes stolen on Diane Road. Lights were on in an abandoned house on Council Bluffs Drive.
July 31
Police helped a woman whose car had died on the street. Someone threatened to shoot some grandparents over some kids. A person called police wondering if an elderly person who was sending large sums of cash to a family member was being scammed. Turned out it was all legitimate. Report of a child in distress on Fourth Avenue.
Aug. 1
Car hit a pedestrian, just minor injuries. Report of three dogs left in a car. One was not responsive. Owner didn’t seem too worried and drove away. A man was upset about a backpack he left at the car wash.

A woman was worried about a male taking pictures of her and her children on Third Avenue. Two kids were spray painting a fence on Highway 2. Black bear going through garbage on Frontage Road. Report of a man down on Brunner Road. A guy who was “passed out” in a truck was just trying to get some rest before a job started.
Aug. 3
Reckless driver on Hodgson Road — swerving all over the place. Shots heard on Beth Road — caller said it sounded like automatic weapon. It was a backfiring engine.
Aug. 4
Report of dogs locked in a rig. Owner came and hosed them off to cool them. A 5-gallon bucket was in the middle of the westbound lane on Highway 2. Teenage siblings allegedly left a 4-year-old sibling at home while parents were at work. Report of a male sleeping in a restroom at 3:11 a.m. of a local business.
Aug. 5
Report of a guy entering a woman’s home when she wasn’t home and taking some things he gave her. A kid stole a water bottle off someone’s bike. Report of a loose dog that tried to attack a woman in her own yard. Someone thought a scantily clad woman walking in a city park was suspicious. A man was fighting with his ex and her new boyfriend on Highway 2.
