In doubles play, Taylor Jarrett and Grace Gedlaman fell to Jaymyn Beller and Callie Cavill 6-0, 6-0, Gwen Foust and Martina Heupel fell to Crystal St. Germain and Aliya Anderson 6-0, 6-1 and Ave McDonald and Anne Lybbert fell to Anya Murphy and Julie Slatto 6-2, 6-1.

“Hannah had a great match Saturday. Her serve is her strongest weapon, and she’s doing a great job working on mixing it up a little and on making sure her second serve is in,” head coach Gene Marcille said. “I was also really excited about the play of Maria Vizcay Vicentin in her singles match and about sophomore Julia Sowerine and freshman Grace Gedlaman. All of these young ladies are new to varsity tennis, and I think they have very bright futures.”

In boys action, John Gilk defeated David Haacke 6-3, 6-4, Neila Getts took down Garrison Bradt 6-3, 6-4, Camryn Lindge beat Matt Hock 6-0, 6-1, the doubles team of Colton Byrd and Bobby Dewbre beat Austin Armijo and Sebastion Driver 6-3, 7-6 (0) and Dylan Anderson and Caleb Reinsburg took down Domenic Bridges and Dylan James 6-7 (3), 6-4, 7-6 (7).

Malachi Brewer fell to Reece Haugo 6-1, 6-1 and Dillon Washington and Trey Perkins fell to John Rodrigues and Paul Rodrigues 6-4, 6-4.

Both squads will be at FVCC Thursday as they host Whitefish starting at 1 p.m.
