The Columbia Falls Chamber’s monthly business after hours is from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 25 at Meadow Lake Resort.
Bradshaw talk
School District 6 Superintendent Steve Bradshaw is the speaker at the next Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce luncheon starting at 11:45 a.m. Oct. 9 at the North Valley Community Building on Nucleus Avenue. The new district teachers will also be introduced.
Ribbon cutting
Mann Mortgage will have a chamber ribbon cutting ceremony in Columbia Falls Oct. 17 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
VFW Scholarship
The Veterans of Foreign Wars are having a Patriot’s Pen essay competition open to 6th through 8th graders with this year’s theme being “Why I honor the American Flag.” The first place winner at the national level gets a $5,000 scholarship. The Voice of Democracy competition is open for high school students, where they perform a 3 to 5 minute speech recorded to flash drive or CD. That comes with a $30,000 scholarship. Community market
The Columbia Falls Community Market at continues at 5 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Coop. This week’s band is Dan Dubuque. Great Northern provides the beer, Whitefish Spirits the liquor and the sponsor is Nite Owl and the Back Room.
Women’s Luncheon
Columbia Falls Women’s Connection will have a luncheon on Wednesday, Sept. 19 (today) at 11:30 a.m. at the North Valley Hospital Community Room in Columbia Falls. Guest speakers will be Ashley Stewart of MT Clutter Cleanse will share inspirational ways to rid your life of clutter and how to keep what is important and Nancy Williams from Bremen Ohio will share how you are priceless and can live above any circumstance. Donations of nonperishable food and personal care items will be collected for the Samaritan House.
