Starting this week, Columbia Falls residents will have a new place to get their coffee fix as Copper Mountain Coffee opens its doors at 830 First Ave. West in the southwest corner of O’Brien’s Liquor Store.

Open from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. on weekdays 7-5 on Saturdays and 8-4 on Sundays, the shop will be the 10th location for business, which also operates stores in Kalispell, Missoula, Libby and Polson.

“It was going to be either Whitefish or Columbia Falls and Whitefish is pretty saturated already in the coffee market. One of my employees spoke with O’Brien Byrd at one of the Community Markets and I came over to take a look. When I saw the space, I could already envision it finished as our next location,” Copper Mountain Coffee’s Robin Jean Lyon said. “It’s always fun opening up in a new place.”

Named for General Manager and Partner Jacque Jolene’s association with Libby’s Copper Mountain Band (she’s the lead singer), Copper Mountain Coffee offers more than just coffee. Customers can also choose from a variety of food options, including breakfast burritos, cookies, muffins, bagels, oatmeal and more.

The company is also known for its dedication to supporting local causes.

“By serving others we mean to serve up the best of ourselves to everyone, every day. We are local and support local. We serve and support our community in any way we can, donating to local schools and community fund raisers more times than we can count,” the company says on its website. “We also send many gift baskets every year to our fellow Montanans in need.”

For their first week, the Columbia Falls location will be offering a buy one, get one free promotion on all of its beverages.
