The Wildkats volleyball team put up a good early fight in Libby Friday but had trouble down the stretch as they fell to the Lady Loggers in four sets 16-25, 27-25, 25-27 and 9-25.

“We battled in the first three sets but then we just crumbled. They made a change in their rotation and we didn’t respond well, we did not respond quickly enough,” head coach Jolandie Brooks said. “With as much talent as Libby has, you can’t let yourself get that far behind and expect to win.”

The Wildkat defense was led by Angellica Street with 21 digs while Madysen Hoerner led the offense with 10 kills. Ryley Kehr added seven kills and Lauren Falkner and Hannah Schweikert each had two aces.

The Kats will be at home Thursday as they host Ronan before traveling to face Stevensville Saturday.
