Aug. 28

Police made 25 traffic stops. A 16-year-old who was kicked out of the house got some help from police so she could get her stuff. Report of a kid throwing something at a truck on Fourth Avenue. Hit and run on Nucleus Avenue.

Aug. 29

Someone stole political signs from a yard. A woman called to say someone was stealing her paper from her mail. A kid on Diane Road was screaming for help out the window. Turns out he does it all the time. Police spoke with the babysitter. An older woman passed out into a tub of toys and couldn’t get out. A party complained that people were coming to the neighbor’s house at all hours of the night and he’d received death threats.

Aug. 30

A person called to complain that a sex offender was living close to a school and wondered how close the man could legally live to school. Report of gravel dumped on 11th Street.

Aug. 31

A man with Alzheimer’s had wandered away, but he was later found near the Waterslides. A person tried to commit suicide with a belt. Police responded to another disturbance and suicide threat on 10th Street.

Sept. 1

Road rage on Highway 2 and a man allegedly pulled out a handgun and pointed in skyward. A man was upset that his estranged wife took off with his kids. A loose pit bull was growling at a person on Seventh Street. A man who said his house was broken into called police and said he may have found footprints of the perps in the house.

Sept. 2

Someone called about illegal campers near the river. Turned out they were just testing their gear. A 2-year-old was locked in a car that was running with the keys inside. Police helped the owner get help to unlock it. Suicide threat on 11th Street, another one on Grace Street.

Sept. 3

Police nabbed a shoplifter on Nucleus Avenue. A man having a fight with a woman locked her out of the house. He let her back in, but they were still arguing. Suicide threat on 11th Avenue.
