Lewis and Clark
Glacier Gateway fourth graders from will present “The Adventures of Lewis and Clark” on Friday, Nov. 2 at 1:45 p.m. in the Columbia Falls Little Theater. A complimentary reception for students, parents and guests will follow the afternoon performance.
Chamber meets
The Columbia Falls Chamber lunch is Nov. 13 from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the North Valley Hospital Teakettle Room. Guest speaker is Kevin Abel, CEO of North Valley Hospital.
Medicare help
Columbia Falls United Methodist Church and the Flathead County Agency on Aging will hold a Medicare information and sign up event from 2 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. at the church on Nov. 1. There will be information on prescription plans, health care, food and utilities assistance.
Wreaths needed
The annual Wreaths Across America ceremony at the Montana Veterans Home is Saturday, Dec. 15 starting at 10 a.m. The Glacier Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution and the Montana Veterans’ Home host this annual celebration. Wreath donations are still needed. Each donated wreath costs $15. Donated wreaths are placed on graves of veterans as part of the Wreaths Across America celebration. Those wishing to donate a wreath or wreaths should mail their check payable to Wreaths Across America to Steve Armstrong, 439 Grand Drive, #170, Bigfork, MT 59911. The deadline for wreath donations is Saturday, Nov. 17.
Fraley talk
The Museum at Central School will host “Rangers, Trappers, and Trailblazers” author John Fraley at 7 p.m. Nov. 15. The talk will be a fundraiser for the museum and the author will be available early to sign books. North Fork lore-masters Larry Wilson and Lee Downes as well as Middle Fork Pioneer John Schurr will be on hand.
Audubon talk
Dave Manuwal will be the featured speaker at the Monday, Nov. 12 meeting of the Flathead Audubon Society at 7 p.m. in the Gateway Community Room in Kalispell. Manuwal will talk about his study of birds found along streams in western Montana that was initiated in 1967. The event is free and open to the public.
