Oct. 16

Report of a deer that was struck by a vehicle near Cedar Creek Lodge. Deer unable to be located. A red Ford vehicle was doing burn outs in a parking lot. The driver was counseled by an officer. Customers at gas station left without paying for their deli items. Man wants to press charges against a female driver that flipped off his son.

Oct. 17

Fender bender on Talbot. Female stated “she sells sea shells” and can’t get her phone out of emergency mode. Stated she has not been drinking, but fell asleep during call. Woman kicked the window out of a vehicle on Nucleus Avenue, owner does not want to press charges.

Oct. 18

A juvenile rode his scooter across the road on a green light and then swore at the lady who almost hit him. Police stopped the lad and told the kid he could face a disorderly conduct charge. The kid apologized to the woman. A man had concerns that his stepson was stealing stuff from his home, but he didn’t want to press charges just yet.

Oct. 19

A semi driver nearly hit a minivan in the wrong lane on Highway 2; might have been a DUI. A delusional person called to say his father was poisoning his mother, this was unfounded, police said. A suicidal driver who blew a red light said he was having a tough time in his life and wouldn’t drive recklessly anymore. Neighbors not getting along on Seventh Street. Report of a big fight on Highway 2, with 4 or 5 guys jumping a male and female.

Oct. 20

An 89-year-old female called about a phone scam where the caller claimed to be her grandson and had been in a fight, broke his nose, and needed money for the hospital. She hung up.

Oct. 21

Police intervened after a father slapped a child at a city park. Another estranged father had his 8 1/2-year-old boy and was refusing to give him back to the boy’s mother. The child was returned when police showed up.

Oct. 22

A dog bit a woman on Scenic Drive. The dog did have a rabies shot. A woman fell and hit her head on 7th Avenue. A woman was hitting her head on the wall on Martha Road, saying she didn’t want to live anymore. Theft of a bike on Ninth Street. A woman threatened to kill herself with a handgun. She was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
