Sept. 25
Two vehicle non injury wreck on Second Avenue. A woman said her wallet was stolen from her car after she went into the senior center and forgot to lock her door. An older woman with dementia was returned to her family after she was found walking down the highway. A woman on First Avenue called police to say a man had been calling her horrible names and shoved her earlier. A woman on Second Avenue said she was taking her child from her car when another rig flew by. She yelled for it to slow down and they swore at her.
Sept. 26
A case of fraud with Verizon Wireless, where someone ordered $1,600 worth of phones and had them delivered to the Cedar Creek Lodge. A boy was threatening to possibly stab a family member and himself after his phone was taken away. A woman suffered a broken arm and possibly a broken hip after she was hanging out the window of a rig and fell onto the Coal Creek Road up the North Fork. The ambulance was waiting to pick her up at Super 1 Foods. A motorcyclist was injured on Highway 2 after he hit a deer.
Sept. 27
A man with COPD was hoping police could help him get into his house after he accidentally locked himself out. A person complained that people were living in a camper on Second Avenue. A woman said her ex husband was chasing her in a vehicle, in violation of a restraining order. A woman with a cut on her forehead was apparently hit by a male in Hungry Horse, but when she came to Columbia Falls, she didn’t want to press charges. Report of a drunk man crawling around on Seventh Street.
Sept. 28
Suicide threat on Nucleus Avenue. Movie night at the high school soccer field had people on Columbia Drive complaining about the noise.
Sept. 29
Suicide threat on Seventh Street. Reckless driver on Meadowlake Boulevard cutting people off. A homeless man left his sleeping bag at Marantette Park. When he returned, it was gone.
Sept. 30
A person said they got a strange call from Mexico where a woman said “help me, help me,”and then another voice said “I’m gonna blow her head off.” Police called the number back and it was a non-working number, so no report. A pursuit of a stolen truck ended in Hungry Horse after the perp was taken into custody.
Oct. 1
A woman said her car was stolen, but apparently it wasn’t hers to begin with — it belonged to a deceased fiance and his parents, who were executors of the estate, took it back.
