Goose outing

The Flathead Audubon Society is heading to Freezout Lake March 24-25 to watch the annual snow goose migration. Hundreds of thousands of birds stop at the lake complex near Choteau.

The group will meet on Saturday morning at 10 a.m., caravan/carpool to Choteau and arrive in time for the afternoon “fly-out.” Folks are asked to make own arrangements for lodging; primitive camping is available at Freezeout WMA. Christian women

Columbia Falls Women’s Connection will have a luncheon on Wednesday, March 21 at 11:30 a.m. at the North Valley Hospital Community Room in Columbia Falls. Cost is $8 and all women are welcome to attend. For reservations, call Candy at 387-4119 or Janet at 892-3621 by 5 p.m. Monday, March 19.

Baseball signups

Columbia Falls youth baseball is having its signups through March 18. Forms can be found on its Facebook page as well as at area schools.

Egg hunts

The North Valley Eagles Annual Easter egg hunt at Marantette Park in Columbia Falls is March 31 at noon. Visit with the Easter Bunny, too. Lots of eggs and prizes for the kids. The Lions Club annual Easter egg hunt is April 1 at Marantette Park, promptly at 1 p.m.

Jazz music

The 13th annual Glacier Kiwanis “Night of Jazz” is at 7 p.m. March 19 at the Columbia Falls High School Little Theater. Bands from across the Flathead Valley and Eureka will be featured. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for students.

Bow ed

Bowhunter education class by Dave Yeats is May 17-19 in Columbia Falls. Two evening classes from 6:30 to 9 p.m. and a field course from noon to 5 p.m. May 19. For complete info, go to: fwp.mt.gov/education/hunter.

Knights of Columbus Council # 7009 continue their annual “Fish Fry Friday” at 6 p.m. on March 16 and March 23at St Richards Parish. There will also be a St. Patrick’s day dinner with corn beef and cabbage March 17 at 6 p.m. at the church.
