Columbia Falls High School students will join other schools across the valley and the state in a walk out March 14 at 10 a.m.

The students plan on singing “Amazing Grace” and then recognizing 17 minutes of silence — one minute for each victim of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting where Nikolas Jacob Cruz shot 17 dead and wounded 17 more on Valentine’s day.

Kailey Schrader, who is one of the organizers for the event at Columbia Falls said the walk out isn’t a political statement, but a memorial to the dead.
