To the Editor,
On Feb. 26, representatives of the Boys and Girls Club attended a School District 6 Board meeting to discuss building a community center on school district property. The Hungry Horse News ran a good article summarizing more than an hour of discussion at that meeting.
Afterwards, I was contacted by a parent of Columbia Falls High School swim team member who was concerned that my condensed comments in the article didn’t sufficiently explain that the CFHS swim team is funded through private fundraising. But it is, and it’s a great program, and I’m glad that the community and the district have found a way to make it work so well for the kids.
