Jill Yvonne (Anders) Sparber
On June 15, 2018 Jill Yvonne (Anders) Sparber left this earth to join her husband Dale, son Mark, dad Roy and mom Eda in her new forever home in the heavens. Jill was born on Jan. 15, 1939 in Columbia Falls. She and Dale were married for 49 years before his passing in 2008.
They lived in Omak, Washington for over 30 years and were active members of the community. Shortly after Dale’s death, Jill returned to Columbia Falls. Jill was surrounded by her family at the time of her death.
Jill was an excellent seamstress, and gardener and if you ever tasted her cooking you’d never forget her. She also enjoyed crafting, playing cards and frequently volunteered her many skills to various community activities. Her warm heart and contagious smile were her signature; two of many things about her that will be missed by all who knew her. The world became a better place with Jill in it and the memories of her will continue forever with her watching over us.
Jill is survived by her son Dennis Sparber of Washington; her daughter Sue Rush (and husband Steve) of Idaho; Sue’s children, granddaughter Mandy Porter of Iowa and her two daughters; grandson Staff Sergeant Geoffrey Porter, USMC of California, his wife Layna, and their four children. Although her son Mark preceded her in death, he left her with two loving grandchildren, Brandon Sparber of Illinois, and granddaughter Jenna Sparber of Washington, and her two children.
A celebration of Jill’s life will be held in Montana at a later date. During most of Jill’s adult life she suffered from Type 1 diabetes. In honor of Jill’s memory her wish was that people donate to the American Diabetes Association to help the fight against the deadly consequences of diabetes and fight for those affected by diabetes. To make a donation online go to www.diabetes.org or call 1-800-DIABETES (800-342-2383) Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET to find out how you can help.
