Community Market

The Columbia Falls Community Market is 5 p.m. Thursday, June 21 at the Coop. Featured music is Here to Make Friends. Sponsor is Meadow Lake Resort with Tamarack Brewing and Trailhead Spirits.

Pedals and Paths

The annual Gateway to Glacier Trail Pedals and Paddle for Paths bike and raft event is June 23 in Columbia Falls. Bike up the North Fork and then paddle down the Middle Fork to raise money for local bike paths. Cost is $40 per person, $100 for family of four. Registration is 2 p.m. at the Coop. Ride starts at 3 p.m. After the ride, there’s a party at the Coop. Cost includes rafting and transportation.

Bible School

A Vacation Bible School for the community will be offered June 25-29 by Our Savior’s Lutheran, Columbia Falls United Methodist, and St. Richard’s Catholic churches. Camp counselors from Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp will lead the program, teaching the theme, “Jesus Changes Everything.” The VBS will be held at Columbia Falls United Methodist Church, 117 2nd Avenue West, from 9 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. for children entering grades 1-6. Basketball Camp

The Columbia Falls boys and girls basketball camps for high school age players is July 9-12. The cost is $50 for an individual with a family discount of $5 off each additional child. Camp is from 6-9 p.m. For more information, contact Chris Finberg at 406-250-1994 or c_finberg@cfmtschools.net.

Fire and plants tour

The Flathead Chapter of the Montana Native Plant Society invites you to learn about post-fire revegetation from Steve Wirt June 21 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Wirt continues to fascinate listeners with his knowledge of native plant life after a burn. Lions concert

The Columbia Falls Lions Club concert series starts up June 21 with the big band sounds of the Don Lawrence Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. at Marantette Park. Admission is $3 per adult or $5 per family. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and a picnic dinner, and enjoy an evening of wonderful music.

Soccer camp

The Columbia Falls youth soccer camp is June 25-28 at Flip Darling Field. Cost is $40 per child, includes a shirt and the camp is run by coach O’Brien Byrd, players and his staff. Camp focuses on skill development, concepts, teamwork, and game situations. Times are 10 a.m. to noon for students entering third through fifth grades; 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for players entering sixth through eighth grade. Register at: www.wildcats2018.eventbrite.com. Questions? Alumni game

The first annual Columbia Falls alumni soccer game is July 21, with women at 6 p.m. and men at 8 p.m. at Flip Darling Field in Columbia Falls. Cost is $25 and includes a jersey. To register, email cassieadams77@gmail.com.

Soccer fundraiser

A free concert featuring Soul Simple is at The Coop from 6 to 9 p.m. July 20 to raise money for the Columbia Falls Boys soccer program. There will be a 50-50 raffle, a climbing wall, free kids games, food vendors, a silent auction and a beer garden.

College soccer

An exhibition college soccer match is 7:30 p.m. Aug. 5 at Flip Darling Field, with Northwest University versus Legends (Montana All Stars).
