Local band Gimmic is announcing the release of their first album with a live performance at their launch party this Friday, July 27 at 7:30 p.m. in Whitefish’s Depot Park downtown.

Gimmic is a jazz fusion band made up of four recent graduates of local high schools: Willie Baltz of Columbia Falls, and Eric Holdhusen, Port Nugent and Matthew Perez of Whitefish. They came together a little over a year ago and have been hard at work writing and recording songs and playing live at a number of local venues. The culmination of all that hard work has resulted in a newly released CD, titled “The Good Nut,” which they recorded at Cabin 6 Studio with recording engineer Toby Scott. Gimmic invites the public to attend this festive, family, free event.
