July 17
A person had a possible head injury in a two-vehicle accident on First Avenue. Neighbors wanted a junk vehicle that looked like it had rolled over removed from Fourth Street. A woman claimed her ex was buying drugs according to his Facebook posts and she didn’t want the kids near him. Report of a couple of phones and an iPod taken from a car. A woman found a passport in her mailbox. A bike was stolen out of a garage.
July 18
Hit and run on Seventh Street. A man was using a broomstick to hit things in the house. The woman that was also in the house didn’t want to press charges, she just wanted him out of the house so he would calm down. Nothing was broken, except for the broomstick. Child abuse on Martha Road — possible shaken baby. Hit and run on Ninth Street. A person called about possible sex trafficking in Columbia Falls.
July 19
Car-bike collision as car pulled out of Park Side Credit Union. No serious injuries, though police note that cars need to stop before going into the sidewalk and cyclists have to ride with traffic on the sidewalk. Someone was ringing a person’s doorbell in the middle of the night. A woman was possibly having a heart attack at Smith’s. A woman was worried that her home’s doors were all open, but no one was inside when she came home from grocery shopping. No perps were found and the house appeared to be OK. Prowler on C Street? Man said he saw his garage door close and someone run away. A woman threatened suicide on Fourth Street.
July 20
Non-injury accident on Nucleus Avenue. Dumpster fire on Ninth Street. Mom was in the bar, kids were in car. But police didn’t catch her.
July 21
Hit and run on Nucleus Avenue. Reckless driver on First Avenue.
July 22
A teen took a car, was doing fishtails and went through a fence into a neighbor’s tree on Jellison Road. A woman camping near Moose Lake reported her boyfriend shot at her with a 10 mm Glock. The car had a bullet hole in the hood. Sheriff’s made an arrest in the case. A man, who was naked on his porch, said his wife sprayed him with bear spray on Frontage Road.
July 23
Possible suicide threat on First Street. Someone on 12th Street had moved out, now the grass was getting way too high. A woman apparently threatened to kill herself and her dog. Some teenagers were pushing a go-cart down the road in the night. They were apparently moving it to a friend’s house to fix it.
