June 20

Report of verbal and mental abuse of a handicap person. A family dispute over tools got heated at city court. A woman threatened to shoot herself.

June 21

Woman reported possible fraud on her bank account. Fender bender on Ninth Street. Police were asked to be on the lookout for a pickup that a son was driving. The father said he wanted the truck back.

June 22

A flagger was almost hit on 9th Street. A pickup had its sun roof smashed in. Report of a camper that was hit while parked at Smith’s. The offending party drove away. Man and women were in a fight on 9th Street, throwing things. Woman had blood on her face.

June 23

Report a 16-year-old girl that stormed out of the house without her keys or phone. Someone found a needle and brought it to police.

June 24

A manager at a local apartment had a male removed after he was smoking pot on the property. His stuff was put in outside the door. Report of a man revving his Harley on Crescent Drive.

June 25

Police helped a woman with a medical problem unlock her car and then noticed she had slurred speech, so they gave her a ride home. A woman who spent the night in jail was wondering where her car was, couldn’t remember a thing. A couple was having a fight and the man allegedly tried to break her car window. The woman wanted to get her stuff and get out of there. A woman was running out into Highway 2 to get hit by a car as a suicide threat. She was also asking people to kill her. A domestic dispute up the North Fork after a woman found some messages on her husband’s phone.

June 26

Police talked to some youths that were on a train near Veterans Drive. Suspicious cars come in and out of Cedar Pointe Loop everyday, woman said. It was a man who worked at Xanterra who said he comes down to Cedar Pointe and sits in the shade near the river on his lunch break. Report of someone trying to break into apartments on 7th Street. A man wanted to keep his ex-wife’s bike until she paid him the money he said she owed him.

June 27

A house was egged on Third Avenue. A wayward rabbit was eating flowers in a woman’s garden. She called police. Report of kids being left in a car on Wildcat Drive. Scouts were practicing honor guard, they wanted police to know they’d be firing blank rounds. A man with a baseball bat caught a kid breaking into cars on 11th Street.

June 28

A man was almost crushed between two cars. He had to start his car from under the hood, but when he did, the car was in drive and pinned him to another car. He was able to get out with only bruises to his thighs. Woman reported that her neighbors poured bleach on her flowers. It was a spat over an old boyfriend, apparently.

June 29

A disturbance at a home because the father was unhappy about the way his son left the house a mess. A woman called to say her 3-year-old son had locked her 1-year-old in the minivan. They were able to get out.

June 30

Report of kids setting off fireworks. Suicide threat on 9th Street, woman wanted to end her life. Report of loud country music at a residence. Truck that was honking horn at Cedar Pointe was asked to move along.

July 1

A woman claimed a neighbor had cameras pointed at her apartment. A man called to say a gun that had been stolen a couple of years ago was found at Gold Rush Pawn. Police checked to make sure scoreboard lights at high school soccer field were shut off.

July 2

Report of males “tearing up” First Avenue and then shining lights into a person’s house all night. A suspicious car was parked on Nucleus Avenue for days. Driver on 206 wasn’t drunk, she was trying to deal with an unruly dog in the back seat. Report of an unruly drunk man scaring people on 7th Street.
