Pair roll 300 games at Glacier Lanes
Dauglas Scheeler and Tracy Stevens joined the ranks of the Glacier Lanes elite recently. The veteran bowlers rolled perfect 300 games last month. Stevens rolled his on Jan. 17 and Scheeler on Jan. 26.
Stevens, 46, has been bowling for 40 years. He said he was getting nervous about the fifth frame in.
“I’ve been so close, so many times before,” he said. “That last frame my palms were sweating.”
Scheeler, 20, said he got the nerves, too, in the last four frames.
“But I held it together,” he said. He’s been bowling for 14 years. The two have bowled together in junior-senior tournaments when Scheeler was growing up.
The lanes gives $100 to a bowler who rolls a 300.
Stevens said he used the cash to pay for more bowling. Scheeler put his money toward a new bowling ball.
