Lions Club needs members

| December 12, 2018 7:31 AM

Dear Community Members,

The Columbia Falls Lions Club is a service oriented organization chartered in 1953. We are small in numbers now, down to about 14 members. At one time, we had around 50 members, both men and women. We are busy in many community activities. Summer concerts, Easter Egg Hunt, Bingo at the Montana Veterans Home, Boogie to the Bank run, Pancake Breakfast, the put up and take down of city Christmas lights and Christmas bell ringing, just to name a few. We also sponsor the Columbia Falls Boy Scouts. We are involved with Lions International projects such as eyeglasses for needy kids and several others.

In the future, we may be forced to scale back our projects due to our declining membership. I am inviting you or any of your friends or co-workers to become a member of our local club. We meet the first and third Thursday of each month at the Back Room of the Nite Owl at 7 a.m. You will find that you will get more out of your contribution than the time you put in.

Please feel free to give me a call if you have any questions about becoming a member or know of someone who might want to join. I can be reached at 406-249-5547 or at slmelbymhi@yahoo.com.

Thank you,

Steven L. Melby
