Chamber awards

The Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce will hold a general membership luncheon on Tuesday, Dec. 11, from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the North Valley Hospital Teakettle Room. Lunch is $12, catered by Montana Coffee Traders. This will be the annual awards luncheon. First Buck and community spirit awards will be presented, and the Columbia Falls High School choir will perform.

Senior crafts

The North Valley Senior Center on Nucleus Avenue will have crafts and Christmas decorations for sale from noon to 8 p.m. Dec. 7 for Night of Lights. From 4 to 8 p.m. there is a soup, chili, hot dogs and bake sale.

Night of Lights

The Night of Lights parade is 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7 down Nucleus Avenue. Lineup for the floats begins at 5 p.m. with judging at 5:30 p.m. The craft shows start at 4 p.m. at the North Valley Community Center on Nucleus. Folks are asked to please not have Santa Claus on their floats and to not throw candy from the float, but to hand it out if they wish. After the parade, enjoy live music and a bonfire at the Coop. The Columbians, the Stringlers and Sonifers will be caroling. Registration forms are on the Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce website. Cost to register is $10 or a donation to the Columbia Falls Food Bank.

Santa brunch

The Columbia Falls Rotary Club’s Brunch with Santa is 9:30 a.m. to noon Dec. 8 at Timber Creek Village assisted living center in Columbia Falls. This annual event raises funds for Rotary projects and gives kids a chance to visit with Santa and have a free picture taken. The brunch is $10 for adults and children are free with a paid adult.

There is also a silent auction with tons of useful gifts for the holidays.

Toastmasters

Columbia Falls Toastmasters meets Dec. 18 for its holiday celebration and an opportunity to wear your ugly sweater from noon to 1 p.m. with lunch provided by our members. Women meet

Columbia Falls Women’s Connection will have their annual Christmas Tea and program on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 11:30 a.m. at the North Valley Hospital Community Room in Columbia Falls. Program will include special music by Dinah Leib, Britt Clark from the Conrad Mansion and Susan Stapley, a long time Columbia Falls resident will share her story of hope. Cost is $8 and all women are welcome to attend. For reservations call Candy at 387-4119 or Janet at 892-3621 by 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10. Affiliated with Stonecroft Ministries.
