Joey Glen VanSchoyck

Joey Glen VanSchoyck, 69, passed away on Thursday Aug. 9, 2018 at his home in Columbia Falls.

Joey was born on July 4, 1949 in Great Falls to Glen and Lois (Gartzka) VanSchoyck. Joey was raised in Cut Bank, graduating from Cut Bank High School in 1968. On Oct. 24, 1968, Joey entered the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged after six years of service.

Joey was a contract painter for the last 35 years, was a volunteer firefighter, and loved spending time with his family. He loved the outdoors and spent much of his free time camping, boating, fishing and hunting. Joey also had a passion for cars and trucks. He spent time rebuilding, modifying and racing these with his sons.

Joey was preceded in death by his father Glen Earl VanSchoyck and granddaughter Caytlyn Marie VanSchoyck.

He is survived by his mother Lois VanSchoyck of Billings; sister Terri VanSchoyck of Billings; children, Garry and wife Michelle VanSchoyck of Missoula; Nicholas and wife Jessie VanSchoyck of Columbia Falls; Brittney VanSchoyck of Tempe, Arizona; Ashlee VanSchoyck of Goodyear, Arizona; and grandchildren, Spencer, Christopher, Trent, Morgan and Kaycee.
