Aug. 1

A child messing with a phone called 911 because she said she really liked cops. Possible theft from a person on Ninth Street. A woman with a medical problem, possibly from an assault, on Fourth Avenue.

Aug. 2

An autistic youth in his underwear was screaming and went to the neighbor’s house. A woman said her ex boyfriend was harassing her. Fender bender on Nucleus Avenue. Threats on Nucleus Avenue when one woman told another “You better watch out for everybody.” The police said she should get a restraining order. A woman who alleged she’s been thrown out of her own car by a date the night before wanted to press charges.

Aug. 3

A woman said her ex was posting naked pictures of her on social media. A person called to say the neighbors were smoking weed on the deck. A car hit a fire hydrant on 15th Avenue.

Aug. 4

A man was worried about his mother because he hadn’t heard from her since July 31 and she apparently wasn’t home. Someone called to report domestic violence on Wildcat Drive that had happened a few days before with children in the house. Another fire hydrant hit — this one on Fran Lou Park. A man called to say he thought a couple of bikes thrown in the bushes near Town Pump may have been stolen.

Aug. 5

A woman died of natural causes on Third Avenue. A drunk man tried to get into the Veterans Home and was taken out by some employees. He wandered off toward the baseball fields.

Aug. 6

A structure fire was reported on Columbia Drive. But it turned out some balloon strings in a ceiling fan light were burning when the lights were turned on. A man came to a woman’s house and pounded on her door and then came inside. Not sure why he did this, but police said to call 911 if it happened again. A person who was in a wreck a few days before needed police help to get their EpiPen and dentures out of the car because it had been towed away. Phone fraud — woman got a call from someone claiming to be insurance company and she gave them her date of birth over the phone. Hit and run on Ninth Street. Report of someone taking photos of homes on 13th Street. A woman was upset because an employee at a grocery store touched her baby’s arm. Police investigated 18 parking violations.
