There was a dispute between a landlord and a tenant. The tenant claimed the landlord was trying to hold her car until she paid the rent, this resulted in a very loud argument.
April 3
A stop sign was missing on Fourth Avenue East. Report of a stolen vehicle from Kalispell that may have been seen in Columbia Falls. A woman on Fourth Street complained that three dogs were barking all day and night. A woman called and asked for advice on how to handle her ex, who had violent tendencies.
April 4
A man called to say he had wayward dogs in his yard each morning and they were pooping his lawn. Parents called police about their runaway son, wanted him returned home.
April 5
Police received a report of a male with a golf club who looked like he was going to jump off the viaduct. They contacted him and he said he wasn’t suicidal, though people have called him in before. Report of a hit and run on Fourth Avenue.
April 6
Report of a rig doing brodies in a parking lot on Ninth Street. The owner of the rig denied it was him. Report of a woman with a black eye who may have been hit by a boyfriend. Possible DUI driver heading into the city. Report of a violent 20-something male on Second Avenue West in dispute with family members.
April 7
Report of a female having a fight with a male in a vehicle. The male wouldn’t stop the car and let her out. A man called to say he thought his wife was using drugs.
April 8
Police arrested a woman who was drunk and hitting her mother and grandparent. Report of a vehicle driving on the sidewalks and yards as it went from Wildcat Drive to the Nite Owl.
April 9
A person called to say they let a friend borrow a bike and then they pawned it. Not much of a friend, it seems. Report of a couple of dogs at large and one had a chicken in its mouth. The dogs were then noted at the Old Shay engine eating a carcass. Police couldn’t catch them. Report of a female shoplifter who also had a 7-year-old waiting in the car. Report of hit and run on Railroad Street.
