Kathleen Ann Squires

Kathleen Ann Squires was born Jan. 9, 1957, to Clarence and Isabelle Dunn in Havre, joining her siblings Sandy, Ron, Harris, and Wayne and a year later, Karen. Her father passed away shortly after Kathy’s family moved to Great Falls in 1961. She grew up there, attended grade school, high school, graduating in 1975. She went to a year of Vo-Tech School for Accounting. Kathy and Bill Squires fell in love and started a family with the birth of their first child, William Walden, in 1977 followed by Amy Lane in 1979. Kathy was a strong woman who gave birth to both of her children at home. She was a very loving wife who devoted her entire life to Bill, Wil, Amy, and her two step-daughters, Brenda and Cara. She adored her nephews, nieces, and grandchildren. What completed her happiness was serving her God, Jehovah. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on April 27, 2002. Kathy will be remembered as welcoming and generous, always showing unconditional love to all those who came into her life.

Kathy was preceded in death by parents Clarence Melville Dunn and Isabel Turner Dunn; her brother Kenneth Dunn and sister DeeAnn Dunn; who both died in infancy.

Kathy is survived by her husband William Carl Squires Jr. and her children William Walden (Laura) Squires and Amy Lane Squires (Timothy) Wells; and her step-daughters, Brenda Squires (Brian) Heagy and Cara Squires (Andres) Cerna; and eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; her father-in-law William Carl Squires Sr. and her mother-in-law Donita Lane Naternicola; her siblings Sandra (Ron) Nobile, Ron Dunn, Harris (Kelly) Dunn, Wayne (Marilyn) Dunn, and Karen (Doug) Fuller; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sonja (Tim) Peer, Rhonda (Tim) Dixon, Kenneth (Colleen) Squires, and Jeffrey (Deborah) Squires; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, uncles and aunts and cousins.

A funeral service for Kathy was held on Tuesday Sept. 12, 2017 at Columbia Mortuary.

Burial took place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia Falls.
