The Columbia Falls volleyball team continues to improve as the postseason begins this weekend. The Wildkats dropped Polson on the road last Tuesday to wrap up the conference schedule, 24-26, 25-20, 22-25, 25-23, 15-13. Trista Cowan had 13 kills in the win, while Kiera Brown had eight blocks and Hannah Schweikert racked up 38 assists.

At the Missoula Invitational tournament, the Kats beat rival Whitefish, 20-25, 25-16,16-14, but lost to Missoula Hellgate and CMR.

They now play in the Northwest A district tourney this week in Browning, opening against Browning on Friday afternoon.

“The tournament was great experience for us,” coach Jolandie Brooks said. “It was an awesome opportunity to play against faster paced, AA schools. It was good for the girls to finish against Whitefish too!”
