Spikers drop Maidens at home

The Columbia Falls girls volleyball team went 1-2 on the week.

The beat Ronan for their homecoming match in straight sets, 25-15, 25-22, 25-7 for a conference victory, but had a tougher time on the road, losing to Corvallis 25-19, 25-18, 25-11 and Hamilton 26-24, 18-25, 26-24, 25-19.

Last Tuesday, the Wildkats lost to Whitefish 25-15, 25-19, 23-25, 25-17 on the road.

“The girls took care of business in three games during their homecoming game against Ronan,” said coach Jolandie Brooks.“It’s fun watching them play as we continue to find our sync out there.”

Ryley Kehr led the Wildkats with 11 of the team’s 30 kills against the Maidens.

The girls travel to Libby Thursday and then face Stillwater Christian at home Saturday, with a varsity start about 4:15 p.m.
