Dentist and family making a home in Columbia Falls
Dr. Stephen Seheult has taken over the dental practice of Dr. Robert Friess and made the move to Columbia Falls, along with his daughter, Luella (3), wife Kirsten and son Camden (5).
The smiling faces of Columbia Falls have a new option when it comes to dental care.
Stephen Seheult, DDS moved to town in May and has taken over seeing patients for Dr. Robert Friess at his office at Fifth Street West.
Originally from southern California, Seheult graduated from dental school at Loma Linda University in California in 2008 and spend several years working at his father’s practice in Redlands, California before deciding to make the move to Montana.
“Doctor Friess was looking for someone to help take over a few things. Now, it looks like he is more-than-likely retiring and I will be taking over for him,” Seheult said. “The practice here has a lot of room for growth, so we are looking to expand on our patient base and bring in new patients.”
During his time working with his father, Seheult said he spent a lot of time working with general anesthesia patients who were afraid of dental work. He said it is very nice to have a family practice in a small town.
“It’s nice to be back in the swing of the normal dental world. There really are a lot of great people here and I am trying to get to know everyone that Dr. Friess has seen for a long time,” Seheult said. “Columbia Falls is really nice. All of the people are really great and down-to-Earth. It’s refreshing to live in a place where people seem to keep it simple and enjoy life.”
Seheult said the parents of his wife, Kirsten, live in the area, which was a key factor in making the move to Montana. Seheult and Kirsten brought their kids, Camden, 5 and Luella, 3, to Montana in May and say they have been enjoying the area ever since. With a family that loves the outdoors, Seheult said living this close to Glacier National Park is a perfect location and the family looks forward to exploring the area.
“We have visited Kirsten’s family here for several years. We figured that if we had the chance to get out of southern California and to be close to my wife’s family here, this would be a good time to do it,” Seheult said.
