Congrats to the football team

We would like to offer congratulations to the football team for making the Columbia Falls High School record books. After a fantastic regular season, the Wildcats won the Class A state title for the first time in our school’s history.

Head coach Jaxon Schweickert and the entire coaching staff deserve accolades for their hard work and dedication. A state championship can’t be won overnight or even in a single season. The title represents many hours and years of consistency, discipline and passion.

It should also be noted that the players consistently demonstrated excellent sportsmanship and overcame many obstacles. A state championship is something to celebrate, but what was most impressive was the team members’ display of the Columbia Falls High School core values: character, focus, honor and strength. There are so many reasons we can all be proud of them.

Also, I’d like to give special thanks and congratulations to Troy Bowman. His dedication and the countless hours he gives to make sure students are safe and coaches have what they need often goes unnoticed. There is no doubt that there is a direct correlation between Mr. Bowman’s tireless efforts and the number of championships and winning seasons enjoyed by our teams at CFHS. Thank you Mr. Bowman.

And speaking of champions…..

The CFHS Model United Nations team was named Outstanding Large School at the 52nd Annual Montana Model UN hosted by the University of Montana on Nov. 20-21. It is a great accomplishment for CFHS to win the top award, beating schools from throughout the state, including the AA, A, B-C and private-school levels. The CFHS Model UN team, coached by Tara Norick and Jenny Lovering, has learned from previous years of competition how to inform and motivate the students so they can compete to the highest standards. These two coaches and the students have demonstrated the work, focus and strength to persevere it takes to become champions.

These programs are two great examples of why we are proud of our students and staff at CFHS and why we Bleed Blue.
