Canyon dinners

Everyone is welcome to the annual Thanksgiving Dinner held in the Hungry Horse School Thursday Nov. 30. The menu is turkey with all the trimmings, topped off with a special pumpkin cake dessert. It will be served between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. and you are welcome to come early for a cup of coffee and to mingle. Any questions, please feel free to call Flo at 250-3406 or Luann at 261-1083.

Night of Lights

The annual Night of Lights parade and celebration is Friday, Dec. 1 in Columbia Falls with the parade starting at 6:30 p.m. down Nucleus Avenue. Parade forms are available at columbiafallsrotary.com

Parade emcee this year is Chris Motichka of “Music on the Move.” Folks are asked to please not put any Santas on floats; he will arrive at the end of the parade on a truck provided by Western Building Center.

The entrance “fee” for floats is a food donation to the Columbia Falls Food Bank.

The North Valley Senior Center will have a craft fair and bake sale from noon to 8 p.m. and from 4 to 8 p.m. a soup and pie supper. At 4 p.m. there will be a craft sale North Valley Community Building and violin music just before the parade

At the Coop after the parade kids can visit with Mr. and Mrs. Claus and listen to music from Columbia Falls High School chorale, sonifers and the jazz band.

Brunch with Santa

The Columbia Falls Rotary Club’s Brunch with Santa is from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Timber Creek Village Dec. 3. The annual event features a great brunch and an opportunity to visit with Santa Claus and have your picture taken. Tickets can be purchased from any local Rotarian and will be available at the door. Cost is $10 and kids 12 and under are free. There will also be a host of items up for a silent auction. For businesses, individuals and artists, sponsorship and donation opportunities are available. Wreaths Across

America

The annual Wreaths Across America event at the Montana Veterans Home is Dec. 16 at 10 a.m. Glacier Chapter - Sons of the American Revolution and the Montana Veteran’s Home host this annual celebration.
