Village Inn roof damaged
The Village Inn in Glacier National Park will likely see repairs starting this week, Park spokeswoman Lauren Alley said.
A tree fell on the roof during a windstorm in late October, crushing the southwest corner.
The tree damaged a portion of the roof membrane, some of the structural eve members, and some fascia in the blow.
Park concessionaire Xanterra Parks and Resorts will contract the project to replace in kind, so the roof will be patched soon, Alley said.
Right now though the membrane is damaged, it’s not compromised to the point of leaking, she noted.
