Wanner, Bridwell win track titles

The boys track team took fourth at the state A meet in Laurel Friday and Saturday.

Sage Wanner won the 3,200 meters by a whisker over Levi Taylor of Laurel. Wanner’s time was 9:50.31, just .66 seconds faster than Taylor. Wanner took fifth in the 1,600 (4:33.01).

Dakota Bridwell won the javelin with a throw of 194 feet.

Logan Kolodejchuk was fourth in the shot put (49-4 3/4) and third in the javelin (188). Ben Windauer (13-9), Austin Green (13-0), and Seth Gossett (13-0) took second, fourth, and fifth respectively in the pole vault. Garrison Hughes of Sidney set a new record, clearing 16 feet even for the title.

Braxton Reiten was fifth in the 100 (11.80). Michael Hoerner was third in the 110 hurdles, (15.95) and fifth in the triple jump (42-3.25). Tanner Grove was fifth in the javelin (174-4).

The girls took 10th.

Freshman Angellica Street took third in the javelin (118-9). Kimberly Peacock was third in the 3,200 (11:28.94). Kaitlyn Casazza was third in the 100 hurdles (16.43) and fifth in the 300 hurdles (48.75), and the girls were fourth in the 1,600 relay (4:08.44).
