Trio lead boys at Archie Roe track meet

The Columbia Falls boys had three champions at the Archie Roe track meet Saturday in Kalispell.

Logan Kolodejchuk won the shot put with a throw of 48-8.25. Dakota Bridwell won the javelin with a throw of 178-11 and Ben Windauer won the pole vault with a leap of 13-6, his best of the season.

As a team, the boys took third behind Flathead and Glacier.

Other notable performances included Sage Wanner, sixth in the 1,600 (4:38.63) and fourth in the 3,200 (10:05.00). A third place finish for the 400 relay team (45.33) and a second place finish for Logan Stephens in the long jump (21-1.25). Stephens was a half-inch behind winner Trae Vasquez of Flathead.

Kolodejchuk was third in the javelin as well (170-3).

The girls took seventh. Josie Windauer was fifth in the 400 (1:01.76). Kimberly Peacock was sixth in the 1,600 (5:28.98) and second in the 3,200 (11:40.52).

Kaitlyn Casazza was second in the 100 hurdles (16.89), just .06 seconds behind Brynn McChesney of Glacier. Casazza was sixth in the 300 hurdles (50.74). The 1,600 relay team was fifth (4:14.77).

Angellica Street was sixth in the shot put (33-10) and javelin (107-8).

The squads had a triangular meet against Whitefish and Browning last Tuesday. The boys won; the girls took second behind Whitefish.

The teams travel to Glacier for a dual Thursday and then the Polson ABC meet Saturday.

The divisional meet is in Corvallis the following week.
