Chisholm, Hill and Riley win SD6 board election
Dean Chisholm, Keri Hill, and Barb Riley won the School District 6 board election Tuesday.
Chisholm garnered 1,059 votes, Hill had 949, Riley had 943, and David Shaffer had 787.
Chisholm and Riley are both incumbents.
Chisholm has been an attorney for 25 years and has been on the school board for 13 years. He hopes to tackle school budget and enrollment challenges.
Hill is a 1997 graduate of Columbia Falls and has a vested interest in the future of the district, as her three children will be fourth-generation Columbia Falls students.
Riley is a real estate broker and has been on the school board for 22 years. She wants to keep charter schools accountable and transparent, create lecture hall-type classes at the high school to improve college preparation, and deliver more programs with less money.
Shaffer used to be a math teacher in the district.
