Smalley urges us to watch the Moron Brothers, and more
For several years, I’ve subscribed to a free outdoor information site called the Outdoor Hub.
I learned about Outdoor Hub when the editors were initially actively soliciting contributions from outdoor writers across the country.
The idea was to spread the outdoor word — in short, concise stories — through website and email.
Popular stories include record big-game animals, new products, trophy fish, outdoor anecdotes featuring famous people, just about anything and everything of interest to people who enjoy the outdoors.
And always a good mix.
Including some humor.
So, in a recent Outdoor Hub, after scanning the video “Grizzly Bear Steals Jeremy Wade’s Salmon Right off his Line” and reading “Is the Bass Pro/Cabelas Deal Falling Through,”, I found a music video that not only made me smile, but made me laugh out loud.
And, believe me, after dealing with a clogged toilet, loss of WiFi signal, and a mortally wounded microwave on the same morning, I needed a good laugh.
Ever heard of the Moron Brothers? Two old, bib over-alled guys singing bluegrass?
Billed as a “Hilarious Valentine’s Day Song,” the Moron Brothers were picking and singing “If My Nose was Running Money, I’d Blow It All on You!”
I also remember a story about the late Dale Earnhardt breaking his hand on a poacher’s face.
Outdoor news, videos, and quizzes can be found at www.outdoorhub.com. Also available as a free email subscription.
