Bleed Blue week a success

| March 1, 2017 10:52 AM

Bleed Blue week at Columbia Falls High School concluded Friday, Feb. 17 with a community assembly featuring Comatose Posse.

Bleed Blue is not only a term being used in the high school but throughout the entire town.

Character is compassion, focus on your future, honor yourself and other, and strength to persevere are all apart of what it means to bleed blue.

The High School celebrated Bleed Blue week with showing school pride and wearing blue throughout the week. Graduation Matters, led by Betsy Funk had 16 students go to Glacier Gateway on Tuesday and Ruder on Thursday to talk to the students about why the high schoolers strive to graduate, the drumline, led by Josh Forke also put on a performance. A diverse group of students led by Scott Geiser designed a T-shirt that was handed out to every high school student on Thursday. Blue flags were also made in the high school and handed out to businesses around town.

It’s amazing to see students, teachers, administrators, and community members come together to celebrate pride in their community and schools. Many students felt that this week was a good reminder of how much their community and faculty believes in their ability to succeed.
