Church celebrating 75th year

| June 21, 2017 7:51 AM

The Columbia Falls United Methodist Church is celebrating the 125th anniversary of being in ministry to the community. As a part of this celebration, organizers are attempting to contact former members and friends, including all who have ever attended the church. The intent is to bring together those who will remember the past at the church, while celebrating the present, and looking ahead to the future.

During Heritage Days, July 29-30, several events are planned. A float will be entered in the parade, starting at noon on the 29th. Following the parade, an ice cream social and open house will take place at the church at 117 Second St. West in Columbia Falls. At 7 p.m. that evening a vesper prayer service will be held.

At 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, the 30th, a special worship will take place. Immediately afterwards a brunch will be served and a short program will follow.

If anyone has names and addresses of former members or friends, know of someone who may like a special invitation, or would like more information, please call the church at (406) 892-5811 or email office@columbiafallsumc.org. For those on Facebook, “like” the church and join the conversation to add your memories and photos, or by mail send those stories and copies of photos to PO Box 27, Columbia Falls.

The public is most cordially invited to attend any celebration events, and to check out the website, columbiafallsumc.org.
