Community market

On Thursday, June 22 at 5-8 p.m., the market at the Coop will have music by The High Life Band, beer by Tamarack Brewing, and spirits by Whistling Andy’s, sponsored by Meadow Lake Golf Resort to benefit the CFHS Alumni/Community Academic Foundation.

Bible school

St. Richard’s Catholic, Our Savior’s Lutheran, and Columbia Falls United Methodist Churches will hold Community Vacation Bible School June 26-30. Camp counselors from Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp will lead the program, teaching the theme, “Just Add Water.” The VBS will be held at St. Richard’s Catholic Church, 1210 9th Street West, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for children entering grades 1-6. Basketball camps

Columbia Falls basketball camps for both boys and girls are coming up soon. The grade school camp is at the high school June 26-29, from 10 a.m. to noon for grades 3-5 and from 1-3 p.m. for grades 6-8. The high school camp is July 10-13 from 6-9 p.m. at the Junior High. Cost is $50 for each individual (family discount of $5 off each additional child) and a T-shirt is included. Bookmobile

The School District 6 Bookmobile will be in the Canyon and Highway 206 Tuesdays and in Columbia Falls and Highway 2 area Thursday from noon to 3:30 p.m. this summer. The service offers free books to kids for summer reading.

Lions concert

The Columbia Falls Lions Club concert series at Marantette Park starts this Thursday with the Don Lawrence Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. The concert series runs through the summer. The June 29 concert is Brass Werks.

Pedal and Paddle

The Gateway to Glacier Trail group will hold its annual Pedal and Paddle event June 24. Meet at the Coop to register and then bike up the North Fork Road to Blankenship Bridge, then float the Flathead River. Cost is $40 per person, children 12 and under are free.
