Sally Marie (Holland) Rosse

Sally Marie (Holland) Rosse died on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at Kalispell Regional Hospital at the age of 71.

Sally was born in Monroe, Michigan on Feb. 2, 1946 to Calvin James and Myrtle Mae Holland. When she was young her mother and two brothers (Jeffery and Daniel Holland) moved to California. There Sally attended grade school, high school and medical training. This training led to work at John Muir hospital in the San Francisco Bay Area. In Walnut Creek, California, Sally met and married Howard Abraham, and they moved to Corvallis, Oregon. After 11 years of marriage they divorced. In Oregon she worked at the Good Samaritan Hospital for about 10 years.

Sally met and married Francis Rosse on Dec. 16, 1989 in Corvallis, Oregon. Shortly thereafter she retired from the hospital and they moved to their home in Columbia Falls, Montana. Sally and Francis were happily married for 28 years.

Sally was a long-time member of the Eagles Club in both Oregon and Montana.

She made friends with ease everywhere she went because of her great sense of humor and natural and generous gift of serving others.

This beautiful, amazing, accomplished, intelligent, sunshine soul will be dearly missed.

Sally is survived by her husband Francis Rosse; her three daughters, Heather Abraham, Kathy Rosse, and Laurie Ann (Rosse) Kirby and husband Richard Kirby; and her four granddaughters, Allison Flamez, Maddison Beine, Kimberly Kirby, and Stephanie Bien and husband Keith.

A memorial will be held at St. Richard’s Catholic Church in Columbia Falls at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2017.

“We miss Sally so much.”
