Patricia Mae Anderson Mullen
Patricia Mae Anderson Mullen died Saturday the 20th of May at Peace Hospice of Montana, Great Falls.
She was born July 18, 1941 in Great Falls to Lester and Midge Anderson. They raised their family of seven children in the Flathead area. Patricia graduated high school from Columbia Falls and soon met Patrick Mullen. Although they moved around a bit, they landed in Shelby, Montana, where they raised their four children: Shawn, Patrick, Michael, and Billijo.
Patricia had a love and talent for fixing things. She loved to remodel homes although her true passion was antiques. She could bring out the beauty in any old piece of furniture. When Patty wasn’t refinishing furniture, she was tending to all her pets including horses, cats, and dogs. Patty’s heart was with her friends and family.
She is survived by her sons Patrick and Michael Mullen and her daughter Billijo Mills (Russell Mills). She is blessed with several grandchildren, even a great-granddaughter – Cadence Taerra. Scott, Megan, and Brandi are Shawn and Dawn Mullen’s children, Mark is Patrick Mullen’s son, and Dyllon and Cole Mills are Billijo and Russell Mills’ sons. Adopted family members are Daryl and Lisa Hanson. Patty also leaves two brothers and a sister behind: Dennis Anderson (Joanna), Gary Ray (Doreen), and Roxy McMasters (Bruce). She has a large loving family of many nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her son Shawn Mullen, sister Shirley Midboe, Joann Fish, and brother Dale Anderson.
Patricia’s friends and family will hold a celebration of life May 24 at 6 p.m. at Dick Irvin Inc. 475 Wilson Ave. in Shelby. Please join us in honoring Patricia. Food and beverages will be provided as well as an opportunity to share personal stories and/or memories.
