The Columbia Falls Area Chamber of Commerce is searching for an executive director. Stacey Schnebel, who has held the post since May of last year, is stepping down.

Schnebel stepped down from the Board of Directors in May, 2016, to assume the role and complete the transition of the organization after long-time Director Carol Pike retired. Anna Stene held the position for a few months before Schnebel took the post.

“It has been a gratifying process” Schnebel said in a release. “I am proud of the work we have done to define our membership and our position in the marketplace. This is an exciting time for a new director to take the reins and go big for our business community.”

Schnebel is a partner in two small businesses in the area, UnderCurrent Web and Stonefly Lounge in Coram, as well as serving as a trustee on Flathead Electric Cooperative board.

She will be returning her energy to her businesses, and looks forward to growing them in the successful business climate she has helped to foster in the Columbia Falls area.

“The Board of Directors has been very happy with the organizational direction and promotion Schnebel has brought to our chamber membership” said Mark Johnson, President of the Board of Directors. “We wish her the best in her business pursuits, and know we won’t have a chance to miss her – she’ll still be working with the community in a different capacity.”

The post is a part-time job that pays $20,000 annually.

The position listing closes Friday March 17, 2017 at 5 p.m. To view position details, visit http://www.columbiafallschamber.org/job/executive-director-chamber-commerce/. To apply directly, applicants can send a cover letter, resume and references to:
