Kiara Burlage had 21 points against Stevi.

The Columbia Falls girls basketball team shot the lights out Saturday night as they walloped Stevensville 93-38 at home. The girls shot 65 percent in the first half alone, and 62.5 percent for the game in the rout.

They were 12 for 19 on threes and had 65 points at the half.

While coach Cary Finberg was impressed with the scoring, he was more impressed by the passing that set up the scores.

“I thought we passed the ball extremely well,” he said. “Our pasing set up the shooting.”

Nine players scored in the game, which had a running clock the second half. Kiara Burlage had 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead the team. Dani Douglas had nine assists and four steals. Cydney Finberg had six assists as well.

The girls will just look to build on their chemistry and passing in practice as well as play as they head down the home stretch of the season. They play Bigfork at home Thursday and Polson at home Saturday.

The Bigfork game has a 7:15 p.m. start and Polson is at 4 p.m.
