Cats get stung by Yellowjackets
The Columbia Falls boys basketball team had a rough outing against Stevensville last week, losing to the Yellowjackets at home Saturday, 62-30.
The boys kept it close in the first quarter, but had a bad second quarter where they only scored two points and never recovered, noted coach Chris Finberg. They also got into foul trouble, which didn’t help and were out-rebounded by a wide margin.
Stevensville, which is a tall and athletic team took advantage of the Wildcat mistakes to go head 28-10 at the break.
Logan Stephens led the team with 11 points.
The Cats face Bigfork on the road Thursday and Polson at home Saturday. Polson leads the conference. The Cats are now 2-11 on the season.
