| August 23, 2017 7:58 AM

A year ago on Aug. 21, 2016, Ruby Jane Pollard and Cody John Edward Connor were united in marriage under a floral arbor in a beautiful outdoor afternoon ceremony on family property in Columbia Falls, Montana. Johnny F. Turner of West Glacier, a friend of family, officiated.

Ruby is the daughter of Jean Flynn of Columbia Falls and Robert “Bobby” Pollard of Los Angeles, California. Cody is the son of Lisa and Dave Connor of Columbia Falls.

The bride was lovely in a full-skirted floor-length gown with chapel train of white silk organza. The strapless re-embroidered lace bodice featured a sweetheart neckline. She wore a pearl bracelet, gift of the groom, and carried a large bouquet of white roses, daisies, and variegated pink peonies.

The bride’s attendants were Julia Burgi of Columbia Falls, maid of honor; Ashley O’Tremla of Columbia Falls; and Jessica Fee of Whitefish. All wore day-length blush pink gowns and carried smaller bouquets like the bride’s.

Flower girls were Aubrie Mae Lindsey and Alivia Paige Lindsey, nieces of the groom, of Columbia Falls. They wore street-length dresses of silk organza and carried white baskets of rose petals.

Groomsmen were best man Derick Senkyr of Kalispell, Gaige Mower of Kalispell, Billy Gross of Columbia Falls, and Scott Matson of Whitefish.

The groom wore a black suit with white dress shirt and black tie; the groomsmen were attired in black slacks, white dress shirts, black suspenders, and blush pink bowties.

The tented reception with dinner was held on the grounds.

The couple now reside in Columbia Falls. Cody assists with the management of his family business, Columbia Nursery. Ruby is pursuing esthetician technique at Creiver School of Cosmetology in Kalispell.
