Kolodejchuk leads Wildcats at Missoula Invite
Junior Logan Kolodejchuk led the Columbia Falls track team at the Missoula Invitational Saturday with a win in the shot put. Kolodejchuk heaved the steel ball 48 feet, 7 inches at the meet, which features some of the best athletes in western Montana.
Kolodejchuk also took third in the javelin with a throw of 175-5. Teammate Dakota Bridwell was second, with a throw of 177-7.
In the pole vault, Ben Windauer and Austin Green tied for second, with jumps of 11-6. Seth Gossett took sixth with a leap of 11-0. Michael Hoerner was fourth in the 110 hurdles, with a time of 16.36.
Sage Wanner was sixth in the 1,600 meters with a 4:41.72.
The boys took fifth in the 1,600 relay with a time of 3:46.39.
Overall as a team, the boys took fifth and the girls took 11th.
Kimberly Peacock was third in the 3,200 meters with a 11:58.73. Josie Windauer was sixth in the pole vault with a leap of 8-0.
Flathead won the boys’ title, Missoula Sentinel won the girls’ title.
The teams are still dealing with some injuries and illness. Senior Kiara Burlage is out with an illness, though is expected to be back in a couple of weeks.
Last Tuesday, the teams competed in the non-scoring Flathead Invite.
Josie Windauer was third in the 100 meters with a time of 13.98 and fourth in the 400 with 1:04.18. Kaitlyn Casazza was third in the 100 hurdles with a 17.78 and fourth in the 300 hurdles with a 52.03. Bridget Barta was third in the pole vault with a 8-0 leap. Tallia Sova took fourth in the discus with a 94-1. Burlage took fifth in the javelin with a 104-1 throw and Sova was sixth with a 95-10.
On the boys’ side, Braxton Reiten was fourth in the 100 with a 11.88. Sage Wanner took second in the 3,200 with a 10:14.65. Zackary Pletcher was fourth in the 400 with a 56.74. Michael Hoerner was fourth in the 100 hurdles with a 17.65. Austin Green and Ben Windauer tied for first in the pole vault at 12-0. Logan Stephens was second in the long jump at 20-6.25.
