Frenchtown Invite shortened by rain

The Columbia Falls track squad competed in a rain-shortened meet in Frenchtown Saturday. Logan Stephens made a 21-4.5 first-place leap in the long jump. Ben Windauer was second in the pole vault with a leap of 12 feet and Logan Kolodejchuk took second in the shot put with a throw of 49-3.

Braxton Reiten was fifth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.70. Michael Hoerner took fourth in the 110 meter hurdles with 16.72. The boys rounded out the scoring with a 46.01 in the 1,600 relay.

Both the girls and boys took fifth overall. Dillon won the boys’ and girls’ titles.

On the girls’ side Kimberly Peacock was second in the 1,600 with 5:41.81. Josie Windauer took fourth in the pole vault with a leap of 8 feet and Angellica Street was third in the javelin throw with 117-10.

The team competed in the non-scoring Kalispell Invitational Tuesday (results below) and will travel to the Missoula Invitational on Saturday.
