Kats lose in first round of playoffs to Billings Central
The Columbia Falls girls soccer team had a rough playoff opener on the road against Billings Central, losing 7-1 to the Lady Rams on Saturday.
The Wildkats got a goal from Kaylee Ashe at the 48-minute mark.
Coach Greg Trenerry said it was a nice “banana” shot that found the back of the net.
“They kind of put on a clinic in passing,” said Trenerry on Central’s play. He noted they had some talented mid-fielders that moved the ball well. “We did better in the second half. They’re a good team.”
The Kats still had a solid season, despite a multitude of injuries and have a solid core of returning players coming back, Trenerry noted. They finished the season 7-5-1 overall and 4-3-1 in league play.
