The Columbia Falls girls soccer team capped off the regular season with a pair of wins last week. The Wildkats dropped Libby 3-0 and Bigfork 2-0 on the road.

Against Libby Tuesday, Hannah Callender, Kaylee Ashe and Meghan McCallum all got in the scorer’s column. Against Bigfork Saturday, Ashe once again got into the scoring column and Joyce Hatfield did as well.

The girls rounded out the season at 7-4-1 overall. They go into the playoffs this week as the third seed in the Northern A. That sets up a long road trip, as they face Billings Central at 10 a.m. away Saturday.

Central is the No. 1 seed in the east with a 10-2 record. The Kats have been playing better ball in the past few games. They’ll have to have a stellar defensive effort against Central, who is always a tough out.

“Everyone’s going to have to have their best game,” said coach Greg Trenerry. “Our team doesn’t quit.”
